The position
Verra Mobility is an international leader in smart transportation and road safety. The VP of Business Development & Alliance Management Europe is responsible for building new and expanding existing partnerships across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starting, seasoned VP of Business Development who enjoys proactive networking to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company and solidify existing markets as well as break open new ones.
Tasks & responsibilities
The VP of Business Development and Alliance Management Europe is part of the Commercial Services business unit and responsible for business development, alliance management and inorganic growth assessments in Europe.
In business development, this means identifying new partnerships to grow Verra Mobility’s Europe business as well as establishing the process for consistent partnership identification and advancement. Alliance management entails authorities and industry associations, for which this role establishes and develops relationships, drives mutually beneficial initiatives, and conducts quarterly meetings to align goals.
As the company operates its business with key alliance partners, nurturing these existing relationships and identifying opportunities to bring them additional value is crucial in this role. For this, the VP of Business Development and Alliance Management Europe stays close to customers to look into their pains and, as expert in the complexities of tolling and fining processes, support them with existing Verra Mobility services or with the development of new solutions, thereby creating value for everyone.
In addition, the VP of Business Development & Alliance Management Europe supports the evaluation of M&A opportunities and integration efforts when necessary. This third area in the role also links back to the first two by leveraging the same foundation. At all times, the VP of Business Development & Alliance Management Europe is aware of market trends, knows what is happening in the competitive landscape, and keeps an eye on opportunities. As such, the VP may propose a list of targets and discuss with the European Management Team what type of opportunity (partnership of acquisition) it would be, as well as the potential investment and business impact. The position reports to the General Manager Europe and is in itself part of the European Management Team.
The role of Vice President of Business Development and Alliance Management Europe covers the European market and requires travel (35%+). It is an excellent opportunity for a self-starting, seasoned VP of business development or Partnerships who enjoys proactive networking to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company and solidify existing markets as well as break open new ones.
Candidate profile*
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology
- 12+ years managing complex, global partnerships and / or alliances in the mobility industry, cloud & SaaS business, or industrial IoT
- Proven track record of partnership creation and management in Europe
- Experience with business process outsourcing (BPO) business models
- M&A experience (identification, evaluation, integration)
- Excellent English language skills, and additionally French, Italian, or Spanish language skills strongly preferred
