The organisation

For one of our clients, a family owned, successful, multinational production and distribution company, we are currently searching for a Vice President HR Europe & AMEAP.

The position

In order to drive the company’s growth plan, the role of the Vice President HR Europe & AMEAP will develop and execute a HR strategy which includes Talent Acquisition, all aspects of Talent Management, Organization design and implementation, Remuneration plans & reward schemes and HR functional excellence and practices.

With the aim to grow not only business-wise but also organically, the person provides strong leadership in the maintenance and optimization of existing as well as the design and integration of new HR systems and structures.

As a key member in the leadership team for Europe & AMEAP, the VP HR supports the change management processes locally and contributes together the global HR team and leadership to positioning of the company as an employer of choice globally.

You will report to the President Europe & AMEAP directly and to the global CHRO in dotted line.

Candidate profile

Candidates without B2B experience in the FMCG industry, food or related will not be considered!

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business or related.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HR Leadership Positions
  • At least 5 years’ experience at the Director or above level
  • Familiarity with the food industry, FMCG industry or related.*
  • Track record in operations (plant, logistic, retail) as well as in (B2B) sales environment.
  • Experience in working in a highly matrixed, multi-site, multi-country environment.
  • Significant experience in M&A, highly involved in due diligence as well as post-merger and integration activities
  • Has worked in an international setting and has the ability to work effectively across different cultures in different countries.
  • Fluency in English. An additional European or LATAM language is a plus.
  • Willing to relocate to Amsterdam-area and ability to travel worldwide, mainly Europe (30 – 40%).
  • Business-driven with a healthy curiosity in non-HR related topics in order to see the bigger picture and keep an overview.
  • But also warm and down-to-earth appearance, willing to make own hands dirty.
  • Composed personality, able to set priorities, especially in times of constant change and in different environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Organized, well-structured, proactive and hard-working.
  • Ability to initiate, drive and coordinate change.
  • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and enjoys to work with different nationalities and backgrounds.
