The position

The Solution Manager for the insurance market translates market trends towards solutions. He or she develops new business models and maximize sales opportunities and will personally deliver these to the clients within the insurance domain.

The Solution Manager Insurance is expected to create strong relationships on C-level and is seen as a trusted advisor. He or she known and recognized by the market as an expert and is leading in following and applying technology trends in to the solutions market.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Pro-actively initiates, develops, and seeks large scale projects and services within targeted top 5 insurance accounts in the Netherlands, with a very strong focus on pre-procurement and opportunity shaping business development
  • Creates large-scale business and IT opportunities
  • Develops trusted C-level relationships with different stakeholders at the client
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key consultants in assigned accounts
  • Creates and pro-actively leads the organsation'si strategy for the insurance market
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Steers on (technology) innovation for the insurance market via strong domain and technical knowledge
  • Personally leads delivery at the engagements based on expertise

Candidate profile

As the Solutions Manager within this organisation, you are the driving force of the Insurance unit. You are a charismatic leader and you manage different project teams. With extensive experience at the interface of the business and IT, you translate your clients’ business needs into IT requirements for your teams.

Requirements

  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills at University level, preferably a degree holder. Background in Informatics is preferred;
  • Proven track record in the insurance market. Development of large deals, account development and creating an annual deal pipeline with TCV exceeding €2-5 million;
  • Proven success in the identification and generation of opportunities through a combination of pro-active C-level networking, and identifying unique and compelling account specific business case initiation and development;
  • Proven track record as a true innovator and insurance market guru;
  • Influential with consultative selling skills;
  • High impact presentation skills to present highly visible solutions and services to the client. Has mastered the psychology of buying and can employ several techniques to persuade the client organization to commit to significant and multi-year engagements;
  • Creative and innovative team player. Able to convince all stakeholders and bridge differences;
  • Highly enthusiastic, energetic, and has a self-starting capability;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
