The position

As the new Solution Architect you are the key subject matter expert for all the new technology around the Object Storage space. You have a strong background in software development, object storage, S3 and knowledge of Big Data technologies. 
In this role you will be designing and selling innovative solutions for the software development departments of their leading global enterprises using cutting-edge Dev-Ops technologies.
Also participating in sales projects and the responsibility for all technical due-diligence during the sales cycle are part of your function. 

Your team consists of other Solutions Architects and together you will cover the whole platform and solution portfolio. As a subject matter expert you drive your owned technical focus areas by supporting Go-to-Market and product introduction activities, driving global enabling of the technical account team members. Therefore you will negotiate product and solution requirements with the appropriate Program Management teams.

Candidate profile

Qualified candidates have strong technical communication skills (both verbal and written) in combination with technical skills and deep knowledge of the rapidly changing technologies building software. This consists of methods like Object Storage, S3 and the API; but also Big Data technology like Hadoop and various distributions, Hortonworks, Cloudera and Map. 
Strong programming skills (with languages like Perl, Python or Java are preferred) and a solid storage background (NAS and SAN) are necessary.

You have a lot of related experience in similar roles, with proven successful management examples. This includes working successfully with direct customer engagements (pre- or post-sales) and establishing product feedback loops into product management and engineering. You are also willing to travel within the EMEA region. 

The offer
