The position

As Site Head of EHS you are member of the Site Leadership team and you will lead a team of two EHS experts. You are the role model and driver in achieving the ambitious goals in the field of EHS, with the aim of creating a sustainable EHS culture, creating ownership and embedding it in the whole organization to meet all (future) EHS requirements and obligations. You will encourage a mindset of “EHS” awareness throughout the whole Teva site and create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude.

You will identify potential EHS risks, define proactive mitigations and guarantee that site investment and changes in processes, equipment and systems are carried out in accordance with the concepts of EHS by design, relevant EHS requirements and cGMP.

You also support the site leadership team by coordinating, implementing, monitoring and updating the site EHS plan. You are an influential member of the Site Leadership Team, who is an active influencer in decision making and takes an active role in cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across sites.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You hold a bachelor or master degree preferably in a pharmaceutical, chemical- or technical (engineering) direction with HVK;
  • Approximately 10 years of practical experience in site EHS programs in a highly regulated process industry (e.g. pharma, chemical, food);
  • You have a broad perspective and understanding of the site business and processes and translates this into EHS programs (and vice versa);
  • You are successful in sustainable change management with the ability to lead a successful yet adaptable leadership vision;
  • You have experience in continuous improvement programs and are familiar with highly structured approaches;
  • You have strong leadership skills and stakeholder experience in a managerial role;
  • You are a strong influencer, change manager and have experience in improving (safety) culture;
  • Personal skills: strong leader, persistant, strong interpersonal and communication skills across different levels in the organization, structured, teamplayer and know how to convince others on facts.
