The position

For this client, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Sales Director at the executive level.

Over 20 years ago, our client transitioned from high-voltage distribution to data centers, central distribution, and smart energy-saving solutions, including renewable sources like solar panels. Meanwhile, the company became carbon neutral by adopting renewable energy sources. Currently, 70% of their revenue comes from sustainable solutions.

Tasks & responsibilities

As an Sales Director, you will be responsible for the entire scope of products and solutions in three major industries within the business: Building, Secure Power/Data Centers, and Industries. Your responsibilities include driving growth by identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities and creating a competitive advantage through the transformation from a "Red Ocean Strategy" to a "Blue Ocean Strategy." You will set the course to explore uncharted market areas and seize new, unconventional opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, and oversee an average revenue of 175 million. Additionally, you will lead a key account team of approximately 20FTE that sell the overall proposition at c-level.

Candidate profile

To be an effective Sales Director, experience in sales and leadership is essential. A successful track record in sales and leading sales and account teams is crucial to achieving objectives, building customer relationships, and developing a winning sales strategy.

A deep understanding of the energy sector, energy management, automation, and related technologies is highly advantageous. Operating in a specific market, understanding challenges, trends, and competition in this sector will aid in developing strategic sales plans. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key clients at the c-level and negotiating complex deals. Strong communication and negotiation skills are therefore critical for success in this role.

As a successful Sales Director, you must be capable of leading, motivating, and inspiring teams to deliver excellent performance. Effective leadership and team management are essential to achieve the team's goals.
