QHSE Manager

The organisation

Our client is a leading and growing fuel terminal. They specialize in the safe storage and efficient transshipment of fuel- and gas- oil for the international shipping and energy market. With a dedicated team of 25 professionals, they offer a one-stop logistics solution. By combining modern infrastructure with strict safety and environmental standards, they ensure reliable and sustainable fuel handling. For them we are searching for a handson QHSE Manager.

The position

As QHSE Manager you are managing all activities regarding quality, environmental, health and safety. You provide support on compliance with all legal regulations regarding HSE. They have expansion plans, in which you will be fully involved. You report directly to the General Manager.

Tasks & responsibilities

What will you do:

• Maintain and improve the management systems, as VBS (BRZO/Seveso), ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO55001 and ISO45001. This includes monitoring, recording and reporting, carry out internal audits, preparing and supervising external audits and assessing compliance with legalization;
• Manage and supervise quality, health & safety, environment, control of major accident hazard processes
• Perform and report incident investigations;
• Promote and continuous improve the environmental, safety and quality awareness by giving information and training;
• Manage, monitor and evaluate training plans;
• Evaluate the results of the environmental and safety performance and initiate proposals for improvement.
• Support the process with regard to maintaining and complying with (environmental) permits and associated research obligations, including supporting the authorities with the legal tasks assigned to it.
• Support employees to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in compliance with the annual HSE plan;
• Follow up adjustments in (environmental) legislation and regulations;
• Involvement with the RI&E, perform the TRA’s and other risk analysis, perform workplace inspections;
• Prepare and coach the organization on emergency situations.
• Report on quality- safety and environmental performances.
• Provide Personnel Protection Equipment.
• Perform the function of Prevention Officer and second PFSO
• Maintain contacts with external organizations like DCMR, the fire brigade, labor inspection (SWZ), VRR and certifying institutions.

Candidate profile

• HBO / Bachelor or WO / Academic diploma, regarding QHSE or related field, HVK is preferred
• Several years QHSE experience in an industrial environment
• Indept knowledge and experience in Seveso
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 55001, ISO 45001 and ISPS
• Strong communications skills on all levels within the organisation and with external parties
• Flexible and creative when it comes to problem-solving.
• Practical and no nonsense way of thinking and working
• Good command of Dutch and English language
