The organisation

Our Client is a global leader in fresh food production and processing and other food products to leading foodservices and retail brands. The company produces private label foods and co-packs major brand name items for its various foodservices and retail customers. Their plant in the Netherlands is based in the region of Nijmegen and operates in 2 shifts with approx. 200 employees

The position

Our Client is looking for a professional Plant Manager to plan, direct and coordinate all daily organization’s operations. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will manage a team of production leaders and other direct reports.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Plant manager has the below responsibilities:

• Building and Leading a strong and effective Leadership team at the site to achieve Goals .
• Driving the Change Management Process for Implementing the Company Culture and an innovative, way-forward thinking .
• Develop a deep and detailed understanding of production processes to improve and drive process improvement.
• Contribute towards the achievements of company´s strategic and operational objectives with strategic initiatives and provide clear direction.
• Managing Budgets and costs effectively in respect to the operations process.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance KPI´s, analyses and derives and implement necessary changes from numbers.
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and improving current quality standards.
• Increase Plant Product operations & Efficiency, managed through a passion for Food production and aligned to group Food Safety Standards.

As a person you have a passion for food and have the ability to drive Culture Continuous improvement and posses strong leadership skills. You pay attention to detail in the production process.

Candidate profile

In order to be successful the ideal candidate meets below requirements:

• University Degree Food Technology, Engineering or a Bachelor Degree with relevant years of work experience and training.
• Several years of general management experience in a Food manufacturing environment, Best in case in the fresh food processing industry within an international company.
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
• Work fluently in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
