The position

To manage business intelligence, projects development, and sustainability strategies in order to ensure sustainable and profitable growth of the company’s business portfolio through the identification, evaluation, and implementation of development initiatives that stimulates Company’s growth and increase of its revenue.

Tasks & responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Planning & Strategy
    • Contribute to the development of the company’s strategy and oversee its implementation and operations to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration across Company and its subsidiaries;
    • Drive innovation company efforts to deliver better business opportunities and improvements in assets under management.
    • Provide management support for new business pipeline development, in consultation with the Group Directors and CEO;
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with technical specialists, subject-matter experts, and sector leaders to contribute to technical solution designs, reviews, and analysis of proposals and business development strategy within the company.
  • Functional
    • Screening, identifying, building, and assessing of new business ideas and investment opportunities;
    • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and policies for Company and its subsidiaries;
    • Lead research and data analysis to develop corporate sustainability metrics and targets to ensure Company and its subsidiaries are environmentally responsible, aligned
    • with company’s core values, and compliant with local government and international certification bodies’ requirements.Perform Any other related tasks as assigned by the management.
    • Manage department daily operations by providing expertise, enabling teamwork, and aligning processes, in order to achieve high performance standards and meet established targets.
    • Contribute to the development and consolidation of department budget and monitor the department’s financial performance versus the budget, to ensure the exercising of financial authority within established limits and the control of departmental budget expenditure.
    • Guide a team of analysts and researchers on the investigation and execution of feasibility studies for potential markets and projects with the objective of meeting Company’s strategy;
    • Identify new business opportunities in the industry and participate in their financial, operational, and technical evaluation in order to enable an informed decision-making process with all related concerned stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain a network of key internal and external stakeholders with the purpose to help deliver a range of approaches and events;
    • Identify and meet strategic business potential and existing clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging Company’s network to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and pursue potential business expansion initiatives;
    • Represent Company externally to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimize all business development opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development and manage the communication and implementation of department policies and procedures to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are clearly communicated and duly fulfilled.
    • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘leading best practices’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement;
  • People development
    • Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-house capabilities for the employees across the group.
    • Cultivate a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
    • Contribute towards development of talent for the division by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities.

Candidate profile

Minimum Requirements

  • Level of Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Marine Sciences.
    • Post-graduation in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management.
    • Good understanding of the Fisheries & Aquaculture sector is a surplus.
