Global Quality Director

The position

Develop, implement and lead the Global Quality Assurance strategy of a dynamic, complex, international environment. Functional/operational reporting lines with the Quality Managers in the countries and in the Centers of Expertise. The role reports into the Management Board of the organization.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Create a Global Quality community and position this within the organization;
• Create and implement Global Quality Assurance standards for different types of activities (i.e. distribution, engineering and manufacturing) through the design & implementation of a Global Quality policy;
• Go-to expert for (large) customers with QA queries;
• Ensure local execution of Quality Controls;
• Consistent/legally sound certification process on product quality requirements;
• Regulatory product compliance (excl. trade compliance) for different customer industries (e.g. semiconductors, pharma, automotive, medical, food & beverage);

Candidate profile

• High Performance attitude & drive, energetic;
• Continuous improvement mindset with capability to prioritize;
• Ability to translate quality standards into business opportunities;
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally;
• Self-starter. Able to work independently;
• Pragmatic, hands-on and down to earth;

• MSc degree, preferably in Engineering;
• At least 15 years of professional experience in Quality and/or Operations at a multinational company;
• Experience with developing and implementing a quality assurance and regulatory product compliance structure throughout a complex international organization;
• Experience in leading organizational change & transformation;
• Fluent in English, other languages (in particular French and German) are a plus;
• Willing to travel;
