To further expand the current success of Club Assist they are looking for the European Headquarters in Nieuwegein a General Manager Europe.

The position

  • Achievement an aggressive business growth agenda across Europe
  • Achievement of agreed annual financial objectives including all investments and Joint Ventures
  • The integration of the company’s management structure, work culture and climate, consistent with the philosophy, values and commercial objectives
  • Maximum effectiveness of the regional management teams by providing clear performance standards
  • The continuity of management capability of senior management candidates, and by establishing succession planning processes that identify and further develop people of the calibre required to lead the company in the future
  • Effective representation of the company’s interest to key stakeholders (e.g. suppliers, business partners, industry forums) by seeking appropriate opportunities to present the company’s interests and perspectives
  • The continual image of the company as an ethical member of the business community by communicating the company’s values internally and externally

Candidate profile

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration. Higher professional education/university work and thinking level
  • Several years of demonstrable and relevant experience in a senior management role leading a multi-functional Operations team
  • Several years of demonstrable and relevant experience in distribution/logistics or related industry would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience managing a P&L with an aggressive growth agenda
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders and decision-makers at an executive level across
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of operational excellence
  • High developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Command of the Dutch and English language and French is high desirable
