The organisation

Are you the Finance Manager that can manage all the headquarter entities with the European Headquarters of this US company?

The position

The Finance Manager RHQ will be responsible for the financial management of the headquarter entities within the Euroe region. Responsibilities will include business support for all functions represented in Europe, coordination of the flash, actuals, projection and budget process for all stakeholders in the HQ entities, as well as coordination of statutory and tax matters.

This role reports to the FP&A Director Europe and requires a strong partnership with the SSC, FP&A team, divisional finance leads and most importantly business partners (especially around market development).

Tasks & responsibilities
Key Activities & Accountabilities 

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting / FP&A
  • Review P&L and Balance Sheet information to identify and errors or exceptions
  • Represent the entity in local statutory and financial matters including the coordination of local (internal and external) audits; as well as ensuring the internal controls are in place
  • Work with the SSC to review and validate assumptions that are used to establish reserves and accruals (i.e. payroll, clinical, education)
  • Work with divisional finance leads and FP&A team to prepare projections, strategic plan and budget input and coordinate full RHQ / HQ projection
  • Prepare monthly reporting for European entities(flash commentary; actuals commentary in close coordination with divisional finance leads
  • Interface between FP&A, SSC and Divisional Finance Leads regarding Budgets, Forecasts and other financial reporting matters
  • Prepare financial analyses, including interim and final financial statements
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Tax department on any tax related matters to the RHQ (transfer pricing, recharges etc.)
  • Coordinate and align with Finance teams in IT, Corporate and GQO divisions on the allocation of the RHQ budget.
  • Business Support
  • Act as the main finance contact for all (non-divisional) RHQ employees
  • Work with the business to execute strategies to maintain adequate expenditure and investment controls for market development Europe spend (including Clinical, Education and pricing)
  • Analyze and communicate key business drivers to enable business leaders to effectively manage their budgets
  • Prepare management reporting and actively work with the departments to optimize investments

Candidate profile

  • 10 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed company (preferably American or Multinational) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems and an understanding of how these tie in to the business
  • Master’s degree in Finance /Business related subjects
  • An accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CMA) is highly preferred
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Any other European language is a plus
  • Oracle systems and HFM knowledge mandatory
  • COGNOS, Danube, MfG Pro is a big plus
