The Organisation

An innovative and international Offshore Contracting Company. They execute complex EPIC projects for the big oil & gas companies like Shell, Exxon, Petrobas, and BP.

Their core business is Subsea Construction, Subsea Installation, Subsea Services and Heavy Lifting (removal and installation). They use a fleet of specialized offshore workships. 

The Position

The Contracts Engineer works in the Subcontracting & Contract Administration Department. This department is responsible for establishing, maintaining and managing a portfolio of contracts, including frame agreements with subcontractors for projects, and ensures that contract terms and conditions are satisfactory. You liaise with internal clients to scrutinise project requirements. You select and contract port agencies to support the projects and ensure that the contracts comply with project requirements. You inform internal clients about selected third parties and give guidance as required. By managing and monitoring contract administration and reviewing subcontractors’ invoices you hold a firm grip on various projects. You follow up and settle subcontractor claims or disputes and review and evaluate the services performed by the subcontractors. The Contracts Engineer reports directly to the Department Head Subcontracting.

Candidate Profile

BSc degree in Technical Business Administration or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years experience with contracting, among others, port agencies services and chartering of vessels. You have working knowledge of ERP systems. You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken and you are willing to travel.
