As a Business Development Executive you are automatically involved and co-responsible for the development of the most extensive contracts in the world of digital.

The position

The Business Development Executive is a key position for generating new opportunities at new clients. The holder of this hunting position consistently develops a qualified business pipeline across the Financial Services market in Europe. He/she identifies, shapes and develops new multi-service deals, typically in the value of €20-50m+, across the whole organisation's portfolio including analytics, digital, managed services/ITO, BPO, consultancy, and cloud.

Tasks & responsibilities

The main challenge is to realize traction on big deals with new companies using a top-down approach and generate business independently. Activities are focused on targeting, building and developing key client relationships, create opportunities, qualify and develop them and guide these prospects towards large scale deals. During this entire process the Business Development Executive can count on a team at his/her disposal, varying Data Scientists, Business Developers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Deal Makers, etc.. The Business Development Executive and Deal Maker are in the lead in closing the deal. The Deal Maker stands shoulder to shoulder and is responsible for closing the deal where the Business Development Executive has the lead in maintaining the relationship.

The Business Development Executive reports directly into the Head of Business Development and functionally into the Market Unit Leader Financial Services.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have a 60/40 skill split. Where 60% is a background of high-value solution & services sales in ITO, EUC and BPO with the remaining 40% being in-depth focus market background and understanding (Financial Services).

The Business Development Executive Financial Services has an extensive network on board level and brings along personal and warm contacts with CxO's. He/she is inflicted with an urge to think big and inspiring people energizes him/her most. Effortlessly he/she takes (potential) clients on a journey in which he/she links strategic goals and digital landscapes of companies with the organisation's services and solutions and the added value they could offer.

Requirements:

  • A completed BSc and/or MSc degree;
  • Direct experience and proven track record with generating (multi-service) deals of €20-50m;
  • Relevant network and access to Boards and/or CxO’s in the Financial Services Industry;
  • Extensive experience with selling ITO, BPO, Professional Services (individuals), solutions (e.g. applications management, managed technical services) and/or software led services;
  • Experience of navigating through internal governance and compliance within a complex matrix organization;
  • Broad view of industry, competitors and other relevant industries;
  • A solid knowledge of IT Solutions for business benefit.
