The organisation

We are currently recruiting a Associate Director of Projectmanagement for our very successful client. This company is on top of the global pharmaceutical market and offers excellent career opportunities and a dynamic and appreciative working environment.

The position

  • Responsible for leading International R&D project management teams in partnership with the Executive Director of Project Management and fully accountable for project results
  • Accountable for ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the TPP, to agreed cost, performance and quality
  • Responsible for ensuring development and maintenance of Target Product Profiles, Strategic Development Plans and Risk Management Plans
  • Evaluates the probability of success for each project within the portfolio
  • In partnership with the Executive Director of Project Management, lead R&D participation due diligence processes for new business opportunities
  • Partner with MINT Business Development in the evaluation of in-licensing and commercial opportunities and the assessment of the therapeutic area as part of the due diligence process
  • Accountable for identifying and implementing best practice, and identifying issues which impact on project progress directing the project team members to resolve identified issues

Candidate profile

  • Science degree, together with significant experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and substantial knowledge of the research and drug development process (minimum 10 years)
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships
  • Significant experience in operational planning, coupled with successful implementation of processes
  • Proven track record in leadership and management of projects and teams preferably with a focus in Pain
  • Cultural sensitivity gained from experience within diverse environments
  • Understanding of the industry trends and emerging issues in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America, including social, economic and regulatory factors that might impact the delivery of successful outcomes
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
