The ICT policy is to focus on information management, rather than technology. Our client has therefore outsourced the ICT office environment to an IT Service Provider. 

The position

In this highly visible role, the Application Manager initiates, develops and leads ICT projects or provides substantial contribution to (ICT) projects.

You identify shortcomings in the current systems and propose and implement improvements or new systems. By supporting users and identifying training needs we achieve and maintain effective use of IT systems.

The Application Manager is the linking pin with suppliers of IT systems and you guarantee proper functioning of information systems through instructions and procedures. The Application Manager makes sure that the documentation of system architecture, data models and programs are up to date.

Though you are responsible for an application landscape consisting of several applications and you operate on a helicopter level as well as on details, you are not alone. Together with other colleagues you manage suppliers on deliverables, time and budget. You will be reporting to the Manager ICT.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor degree in Information Management or in Business Economics / Business Administration
  • Functional knowledge of ICT systems, preferable IPS Star, Shipnet, Sharepoint, Qlikview and Microsoft CRM
  • Experience in leading ICT projects
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Working experience at a dynamic high-demanding company
  • Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken

  • Take initiative, address issues in order to get things done
  • Good problem analyzing skills and an innovative mindset
