The organisation
For a revolutionary Startup in Cardiology, we are looking for a Product Development Manager who will be responsible for the development of their invasive cardiac device. With an estimated 2 million heart attacks in Europe and the US per year, the organisation strives to increase the survival rates of patients suffering from cardiogenic shock. With their high potential, they recently received a new funding round to develop their product further, and bring this to the market.
The position
For this mission, they are looking for a Product Development Manager with experience in Electronic Mechanical Medical Devices to join their organisation. As the Product Development Manager, you will be both strategic and hands-on, focusing on developing their invention. This includes executing research on materials and other elements, setting up pilots en test pilot products, and working on the technical drawings. You are also in close contact with KOLs and cardiologists to give and gain advice for the development and maintenance quality with the quality manager. Other activities include but are not limited to risk management and co-managing third parties relations. Further, developing the Design History file and ensuring Intellectual property
Candidate profile
As the VP of R&D is far from a micromanager, it is crucial that you are a self-starter and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. Other important aspects are:
- Five or more years of experience in R&D
- A Background in Electro-Mechanical Medical Devices
- Affinity with Software
- Relevant Master’s/Bachelor’s (Biomedical) Engineering
- Fluent in English
- Project Management skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- A Start-up background would be a plus
The offer
- Next to being part of one of the most promising Startups in the field of cardiology, you can expect an annual salary between €80,000 and €110,000 depending on experience.
- The opportunity to develop a complex minimal invasive Mechatronic Device
