The organization

Our client is a multinational and one of the largest malting companies worldwide, employing over 300 employees in seven European countries. By using their logistics capability and the most modern production techniques, they are able to supply the world’s markets effectively and efficiently, what results in over 1.1 million tonnes of malt sold each year.

The position

As HR Manager, you are based in Antwerp, Belgium, and under the responsibility of the Group HR Manager. Your role is to implement the HR strategy in Belgium and France and to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and procedures in compliance with local regulation, HR group strategy, and business objectives.

Tasks & responsibilities

In this role, your core responsibilities will involve:

• Negotiation with labour parties
• Developing a high potential developing path
• Managing the assisting HR officers
• Ensuring legal compliance and legal watch
• Recruitment strategy and planning
• Responsibility for the HR strategy

Candidate profile

• The ideal candidate has a Masters Degree and a proven and strong experience (min. five years) in an international and operational HR environment
• You have strong social and interpersonal skills
• Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
• Knowledge of the Belgium harbour law is preferred
• Fluent in Dutch and French and intermediate level in English are required
