QHSSE Business Partner Land Europe & Africa

They provide services to customers in various markets, both on land and at sea, from a global network of offices in 60 countries. For their businessline Land we are searching for a QHSSE Business Partner Land Europe & Africa.

The position

For the Europe & Africa (EUAF) region we are looking for a QHSSE Business Partner Land. In this new role you play a critical role in ensuring that project QHSSE resources are utilized effectively, projects are staffed appropriately, and organisational and business QHSSE objectives are met efficiently. The businessline Land is focussed on onshore projects, they employ about 3700 people.

Tasks & responsibilities

• You support and become familiar with the type of Land activities performed so as to provide value adding advice and guidance related to QHSSE;
• You are responsible for overseeing and managing a pool of 10 project QHSSE professionals across the Land business line in Europe & Africa. Your role will involve collaborating with service line directors, project teams, providing guidance and support, and ensuring project compliance with HSSE regulations and company policies;
• You serve as a key point of contact for QHSSE related matters and you work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of QHSSE excellence;
• You develop and maintain a high-performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You establish clear expectations, set goals, and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary resources and training to succeed;
• You identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimise resource allocation, and implement best practices;
• You analyse QHSSE data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them. You deliver QHSSE reports and provide insights on resource utilization and QHSSE performance metrics to the business and relevant service lines.
• You report to the Businessline Manager Land with a functional line to the to the Regional QHSSE Manager Europe & Africa.
• You are part of the Leadership Team Land and the QHSSE Management Team Europe & Africa.
• You are based in the HeadOffice in Leidschendam (from 2025 in Nootdorp) and will be travelling for 30%.

Candidate profile

• You have a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a relevant field such as environmental science, occupational health and safety or quality management (HVK, Nebosh Diploma)
• 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role in an international project organization;
• You have strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate teams, providing guidance and support in achieving QHSSE objectives;
• You have the ability to deliver training and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility and you have analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement;
• You know your way around Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
• And you are fluent in English.
