For our client, a multinational US IT Services company with EMEA headquarters in Schaffhausen, we are looking as soon as possible for a

Senior Director International Accounting (m/f)

Your tasks:

  • Ultimate responsibility for US and statutory accounting in the EMEA and APAC regions
  • Management of the international accounting team
  • Review of international consolidated financial statements
  • Oversight of financial accounting and reporting activities for all international subsidiaries
  • Review analytical data and reporting packages for senior management including but not limited to profit and loss analysis, cash flow forecasting, income tax expense analysis and related variance analyses
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed for banking, investment and other purposes
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional financial analysis, planning and revenue teams
  • Ensure the international tax structures are correctly implemented
  • Assist the VP & Corporate Controller in design and implementation of corporate accounting policies across the International companies, and implement complementary local policies and procedures
  • Management of integration, reorganization or liquidation of subsidiaries
  • Responsible for organization of board meetings, AGM’s and meetings with local fiduciary representatives
  • Liaise with internal and external audit, both for US and statutory reporting
  • Recruit, develop and retain the best talent to build a world-class accounting team

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 15 years combined experience in auditing (BIG 4), financial accounting and reporting, including a more operational role in finance or accounting.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with and active CPA or equivalent.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and other international GAAP
  • Technology industry experience, with an emphasis on software, is required
  • Fluent spoken and written English essential
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC FI/CO and MS Office applications
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including significant relevant experience with financial consolidations and reporting for multi-divisional entities
  • Positive attitude with demonstrated desire and agility to work in a youthful, highly entrepreneurial environment that is both fast-paced and demanding 
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive, functional peer groups and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments
  • Has the courage and confidence to accept full responsibility for decisions, actions, problems and possibilities
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25%, if necessary
