About the position 

Technology is the epicenter of driving Albelli’s business results. On peak days more than 5 million digital pictures are uploaded to our systems and more than 20.000 photo books are produced. Through multiple technologies & capabilities, we make a difference to how our customers share & relive their memories. We continuously improve the customer experience, whilst also delivering on innovations. Our infrastructure runs everything, from how customers design their photo books to the optimization of these photos and finally the printing of the photobooks at the highest quality The IT Director reports to the Managing Director and is overall responsible for framing and motivating a state of the art IT department. He/she aligns our marketing and IT goals to a common Albelli goal.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategy Realization
  Align stakeholders and business owners with the company strategy and targets. These goals are primarily driven by revenue, growth, continuous (product) innovation and NPS (customer satisfaction)
• Process
  Protect and put into place processes like Agile and Kanban and ensure that the deliverables on the roadmap are met
• Software development and Architecture
  Help develop and maintain our nimble and agile architecture in multiple development environments and programming languages. By adopting cloud and the newest development methods and technology we ensure we stay on top of the game
• People management
  The IT department consists of 45 fte divided over 5 expert teams: Client Editor team (Windows and MAC), Online Editor Team, Backend, Systems and Project Management. As an entrepreneurial leader you have a deep understanding of the different skill sets of your team and make sure that they are highly engaged and motivated to achieve the common goal

Requirements:

• Extensive E-Commerce and software development experience
• Experience in custom software or engineering delivery
• At least 8 years of leadership experience
• Superior analytical, evaluative and problem solving abilities
• Proven track-record on delivering on material business impact through shipping new capabilities and technologies
• Understands how to build a high effective technology organization that scales in a high growth environment
• Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
• Acting on Bachelor or Academic level
