Description

As the Director Value Added Services (VAS) you are responsible for developing and managing our clients’ Value Added Service offerings to be based on market requirements and technology capabilities.
You will be responsible for achieving annual revenue, product performance targets and ensuring that our client has a competitive edge in the Entertainment domain.

The Director VAS should discover and evaluate new areas and opportunities for revenue development within the VAS areas. In addition, the Director VAS will also manage service life cycle and devise additions and modifications on VAS for sustained revenue generation capacity.

He/she should be comfortable communicating at all levels within the organization and has a strong desire to manage a team that can lead the company into the next generation of Mobile Services. This position will oversee all functions in Business Operations including Value Added Services (VAS), Distribution (e.g. AppStore), Business Intelligence (e.g. statistics, data warehousing) and Communications (internal/external) a team of up to approximately 15 members in the Netherlands. Due to the rapid growth of our client the span of control will in due course increase.

Requirements

  • A relevant BSc or MSc degree in Commerce and/or Engineering, Sales and/or Marketing, Science, Technology, Telecommunications and experience in a technical sales and/or Marketing environment in the telecommunications and/or IT industry;
  • Strong background in mobile and/or Internet technology;
  • Affinity with Instant Messaging, Social Networking, Mobile and VoIP;
  • Experience in introducing and implementing Value Added Services on the terrain of Online/ Mobile Gaming or related markets;
  • Experience in working at/for a Global publisher with focus on mobile/online gaming or interactive entertainment software;
  • Plays a proactive role in forecasting and projecting financial needs of the company as well as direction of certain relevant mobile VAS technologies;
  • Good understanding of the international VAS market;
  • Has an updated knowledge on competitor initiatives in the VAS area and of best of practice relevant international benchmarks;
  • Ability to create profitable alliances with leading VAS organizations;
  • Strategy formulation:- define areas and VAS business models of future growth and develop top management consensus on the way-forward;
  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a positive, constructive and winning manner;
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively;
  • Ability to work in a multi cultural environment;
  • Combines broad overview skills with great eye for detail;
  • Passionate about new emerging Online/Mobile technologies;
  • Full international working experience;
  • Willingness to travel.


Salary

€ 130.000
