The position

The Managing Director will lead and drive the strategic, commercial, and operational growth of Loxam Netherlands. As the head of Dutch operations, the Managing Director will be responsible for achieving the company’s financial objectives while ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes growth, sustainability, digital transformation, and operational excellence as key pillars for success.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with Loxam Group’s objectives.
    • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging customer segments.
    • Champion innovation, sustainability, and digitalization to drive organizational advancement.
  • Commercial and Operational Management
    • Achieve revenue, profitability, and operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Lead rental operations for Loxam Rental, Access, and Power in the Netherlands.
    • Optimize fleet logistics, enhance the branch network, and ensure superior customer service delivery.
  • Financial Oversight
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses to support decision-making.
    • Implement cost optimization strategies to sustain healthy margins.
    • Drive robust profit and loss (P&L) performance, meeting or exceeding Group expectations.
  • Team Leadership
    • Inspire, lead, and cultivate a high-performing leadership team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and strong employee engagement.
    • Develop organizational capabilities to support digital transformation and growth.
  • Customer Focus
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and industry partners.
    • Ensure the delivery of best-in-class customer service, prioritizing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure full adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.
    • Align business practices with company policies and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within equipment rental, construction, logistics, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in P&L responsibility and driving profitable growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation and sustainability practices.
  • Experience in managing large operational teams and complex networks.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both oral and written. French will be a bonus.
