The organisation

Our client, a rapidly growing international company headquartered in Amsterdam, is looking for a Group Finance Business Partner.

The position

Driven by the rapid international growth, the company is further strengthening its Group Finance organisation. A key part of this journey is building a best-in-class business partnering function at Group level. To support this ambition, we are looking for an ambitious Group Finance Business Partner - a strategic sparring partner to the Group Finance Director, and a trusted advisor to the Executive Board.

In this role you operate at the heart of the organisation: you maintain a clear overview of the company's overall performance, deliver accurate forecasts, and provide the analysis and insights that steer key strategic decisions. You combine a strong analytical mindset with a hands-on attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Performance Management & Business Partnering
    • Act as the right hand of the Group Finance Director and a strategic partner to the CFO and Executive Board, translating financial data into actionable insights.
    • Maintain a clear overview of group-wide performance and proactively highlight trends, risks and opportunities.
    • Drive forward-looking analysis that supports decision-making on growth initiatives, M&A, operational improvements and strategic priorities.
    • Partner with business unit leaders across Europe, challenging and supporting them with meaningful financial insights and performance analyses.
  • Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning
    • Own and coordinate the forecasting and budgeting processes across the group, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful output.
    • Consolidate input from business units into group-level forecasts, budgets and multi-year plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Translate strategic initiatives into financial impact and monitor execution against plan.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Oversee the quality, speed and relevance of management reporting, ensuring the Executive Board receives actionable information.
    • Prepare and present performance updates and forecast analyses for monthly board meetings and Supervisory Board reporting.
    • Continuously improve data quality, tools, dashboards and KPI reporting, linking them directly to strategic priorities and future performance.

Candidate profile

  • Master's degree in Business Economics, Business Administration or similar. A post-qualification such as CMA, CIMA or RC is a strong plus.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including extensive exposure to FP&A, business finance, or strategic finance partnering roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge senior decision-makers and to act as a sparring partner to C-level executives.
  • Experience in private-equity owned or highly entrepreneurial, growth-driven businesses is considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability to operate as a trusted advisor on not only financial, but also commercial, strategic and organisational matters.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, with the ability to build impactful dashboards and present analyses effectively at senior level.

Competencies & Personality

  • Strategic communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of navigating a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and influencing across all levels.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic mindset - forward-looking, business-focused, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

The offer

This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to the CFO, the Executive Board and the international leadership team. It offers a unique opportunity to help shape the Group Finance function in a dynamic, fast-growing, private equity-backed environment - and to play a key role in the next phase of the group's growth story.

The job offers a good salary (€ 120.000 - 130.000) plus bonus of up to 8% and other secondary benefits.
