Interim Head of Treasury

The organisation

A successful international company is seeking an experienced interim treasury leader to ensure continuity during the transition to a permanent Head of Treasury.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will assume responsibility for the treasury function and a small team of treasury professionals. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational treasury expertise combined with the ability to provide strategic support to senior management.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day treasury function across multiple international jurisdictions
• Managing liquidity, cash positioning and cash forecasting
• Overseeing FX exposure management and treasury-related risk matters
• Maintaining and developing key banking relationships
• Supporting funding activities and treasury-related strategic initiatives
• Providing treasury input for business projects, commercial agreements and corporate initiatives
• Leading, coaching and supporting a treasury team of approximately three professionals
• Ensuring treasury policies, controls and governance remain effective during the transition period
• Acting as a trusted advisor to the CFO on treasury-related matters

Candidate profile

You bring significant corporate treasury experience gained within multinational organisations. You are comfortable operating independently, can quickly establish credibility with stakeholders and have a proven track record in treasury operations and treasury leadership.

Ideally, you offer:

• 10+ years of treasury experience
• Experience leading a treasury team
• Strong expertise in liquidity management, cash management and FX risk management
• Experience managing banking relationships and financing arrangements
• Ability to operate in a dynamic international environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent English

Experience in fast-growing or highly international businesses would be advantageous.

The offer

Rate: discussion, indication €110/hour plus expenses. Expected start in September. Initial scope is anticipated to be at least three months with the possibility of extension depending on the permanent recruitment process.
