The position

For our client, we are looking for a Solution Architect for Azure-based software development.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Determining the current needs of the departments with regard to optimizing or introducing new or better integration scenarios and client specific applications in a mixed Cloud and on-premise system landscape - mainly on an Azure cloud platform.
• Analysis of business line requirements, creation of business and IT concepts and collaboration in projects.
• Work in software implementation projects in a leading role - as project manager and later as a team manager for an Azure application developer team.
• You will be responsible for IT Architecture, Governance, Security and the day-to-day operaing of Azure-based applications. 
• Advising users and the management of the user organization on all business and technical issues relating to the Azure cloud platform and the business and infrastructure IT which runs on it (mainly SAP S4HANA). 
• Intensive technical exchange with the business and other experts in the IT team.
• Responsibility for the efficient project flow from requirements gathering and feasibility analysis to project management.

Candidate profile

• You have a degree or equivalent qualification.
• You are an experienced expert in the fields of activity described above (focus on Azure based software development in a business IT environment) and can look back on at least 5 years of successful work in this area.
• You recognize complex technical contexts and development challenges and have in-depth technical knowledge in software development procedures on Azure cloud platforms.
• You are customer-oriented and convince through commitment, confident appearance and strong communication skills.
• You have a good working knowledge of English. German is not required, but would be nice-to-have.
• You worked at least the last two years in Germany, Austria or Italy.
