With these unique products they help customers to gain and maintain a competitive edge. The headquarter is located in the Netherlands and there are 10 production sites and 66 offices in 32 countries. Currently $2 billion of revenue is generated. 

The position

You will lead a team of Supplier Quality Exports and support engineering activities globally. To optimize this cooperation you will be an important member of the specific products team. Your focus will be to develop the Supply base quality performance to the required levels in the industry (existing and new components).

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Proactively develop and continuously improve the performance of potential and existing suppliers
  • Define the worldwide Supplier Quality strategy and manage the Supplier Quality processes
  • Lead (direct line) the Supplier Quality Managers team
  • Maintain the supplier risk file with updated information
  • Manage the MQA (Master Quality Agreement) and MQS (Material Quality Specification)
  • Coach and support the supplier engineering functions in the various organizations
  • Define, deploy and train standardized processes and tools to ensure supplier quality performance, and conduct supplier assessments and audits
  • Validate product and processes of new components in the Business Creation Process (new product designs and developments)
  • Define reporting guidelines and control and submit regular reporting

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a technical area (Chemistry – preferable field), combined with at least 5 year experience in (Supplier) Quality, Purchasing or Development in the Automotive industry
  • Solid experience in quality management systems (auditing, ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949)
  • Familiarity with quality tools (APQP, PPAP, D- and PFMEA, MSA, etc.), trained Green Belt or Black Belt is beneficial
  • Profound knowledge in process and product improvement processes
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organizations (internal and external)
  • Perseverance, capable to lead the implementation of improvement strategies
  • Leadership and management skills to lead a team of experts
  • Language skills: fluency in English, German is advantageous
