Introduction

For one of our clients, a leading multinational in Consumer Electronics 

The role

Working close and to lead teams both in Europe and Asia. Develop, implement and manage the tools and processes that are required to balance supply and demand throughout the product lifecycles. Create an energizing work environment with an innovative, efficient, flexible and diverse organization. Drive demand planning specific efforts which create differentiation and incremental gross margin opportunities.Drive a collaborative S&OP process across all lines of business by partnering with product managers, sales, channel operations, global planning and finance. Establish inventory management policies and strategies. Define & implement business rules that actively balance our inventory risk, cost management and customer satisfaction metrics. Deliver against financial targets for COGs and Opex.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide overall strategic direction in the areas of:
  • Championing the vision of the global planning organization
  • Global alignment of tools, process, reporting & metrics
  • Identifying and developing core planning capabilities
  • People management and organizational maturity
  • Performance management and succession planning
  • Resource planning to scale teams to support changing business needs
  • Ensure professional development and training opportunities are available

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior management (internally & externally) and ability to communicate and present to all levels of management
  • Able to maintain a “big picture” perspective, identifying and evaluating opportunities where cross-group collaboration would enhance the business
  • Ability to develop efficient work processes for complex projects involving many groups, and effectively coordinate, implement and maintain those processes
  • Deals well with tough political situations and are proactive in building and maintaining a network of effective relationships
  • A good judge of talent with a strong track record of hiring, leading, coaching and motivating a team
  • Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances
  • Analyzes, explains and draws logical conclusions based on complex and ambiguous data from multiple content areas

Qualifications:

  • 10+ plus years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics and supply chain industry
  • Significant experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments
  • Background in managing international relationships and remote organizations
  • MBA candidates preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Operations discipline
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
