Our client is one of the leading companies providing component repair, design and manufacturing services globally for Compressors, (Gas and Steam) Turbines and Rotating Equipment in a broad range of industrial sectors, like the (Petro) Chemical, Utilities and Processing (Metal, Pulp & Paper) sector.

Based on the vast experience of more than 30 years of component repair, our client has developed the process to design and manufacture new gas turbine components.
Component manufacture is all about offering an alternative to the OEM for the supply of gas turbine and steam turbine components including:

  • burners;
  • combustion liners and transition pieces;
  • hot gas casings and mixing chambers;
  • blades and vanes.

Marketing & Sales Director

The Marketing & Sales Director has to define, realize and maximize short and medium term company sales targets, by obtaining desired market positions and optimize customer satisfaction.
As MT member the M&S Director has a general contribution in the areas of marketing and sales strategies and business performance improvement.
The M&S Director defines and executes (new) market strategies and sales targets to meet the BU’s long-term development. He supports business unit managers with advise, market research activities and the preparation of strategic plans.
He guides his employees in the execution of their jobs and coaches them for continuous improvements.

Responsible for:

  • developing & implementing sales and marketing strategies for SE
  • guiding the sales team to achieve the desired (annually) objectives (pricing & volumes, technical support) according to the marketing plans
  • the monthly monitoring of sales targets, expense budgets etc
  • providing the President of SE with a detailed monthly market report outlining changes in market conditions / SE strategies, changes in customer base, competition etc.
  • organizing and developing a well trained quoting and estimating group to provide a support network for the Area Sales Managers. This includes a well laid out quoting system and process to standardize as many quotes as possible
  • creating a database for all lost quotes and perform analysis on reasons for the loss of quotations
  • co-development and implementing BU strategies and policies in line with business planning and Corporate requirements
  • set up - together with BU managers - targets for delivery performance and technical service
  • actively maintain business intelligence (market developments, competitor analysis)
  • develop, coach and retain the M&S organization to enable them to support the BU’s strategies to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • set up and evaluation of sales channels (agents)
  • define PR-policy and market communication/promotion in communication plan (branding, press releases, advertisements, exhibitions)
  • stimulate, create conditions and organize cross departmental cooperation and teamwork.
