Our client has asked Hays Executive to search for a Managing Director. Our client is a manufacturer in steel products. Their typical customers are in the building construction industry.
In this position, you are responsible for general business affairs. Your duties will contain managing financial, commercial and all other business matters. You will work intensively together with international colleagues. The division in West-Brabant was subject of a takeover and is therefore in a phase of change. As a Managing Director you will have a leading role in shaping the company in terms of culture and corporate structures.
The candidate should have a professional degree and extensive relevant professional working experience as a Managing Director or an equivalent position. The candidate should have led companies in the concrete or steal industry. Next to that, good communications skills, business understanding skills and a development attitude are essential. In addition, you should have good management, interpersonal and analytical skills. As the division is part of an international company, language skills are important. Therefore, you should be fluent in Dutch and English. German language skills would be an advantage.
