Job profile

For our client we are looking for an FP&A Manager. Overall responsibility for ensuring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting in terms of budget, forecast as well as analysis for all locations of our client (EMEA region). He or she will report to the CFO EMEA. International travel approx. 25%

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Annual Budget process
  • Monthly forecast as well as weekly update for all locations
  • Review all local forecasts (revenue, backlog, working capital, expenses)
  • Revenue, Backlog forecasting
  • S&OP Process
  • Working capital forecast, analysis and management
  • Profitability analysis per product, region
  • Analysis of expenses
  • Forecast review of all EMEA locations
  • Management discussion on Forecast & Actuals for EMEA
  • Implement and continuous improvement of daily management processes around sales, backlog, inventory and working capital
  • Preparing monthly reporting packages (actuals, budget, forecast) and reporting out of these to senior management
  • Work on improved information flow for supply chain management
  • Expense management for all locations & functions incl. management discussions

All other analysis and forecast related activities to manage the client’s EMEA business to budget as well as continuous improvement of forecast accuracy in the International business.

Education & Competences

Given the criticality of this role as well as its international exposure to senior management of the organization a “A” player with extensive multinational experience is required. The following elements are critical:

  • More than 10-15 years experience in a multinational environment with exposure to US/UK type of reporting. Strong preference for people with recent experience in US/UK multinational as regional CFO or FP&A manager
  • CPA/MBA level education required
  • "A" player in current company within an international demanding matrix environment
  • Previous FP&A experience (e.g. as senior business analyst)
  • Strong experience with commercial and manufacturing finance
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting
  • Extremely strong communicator
  • Strong process skills to manage and improve complex processes
  • Hands on mentality, high Engagement
  • Internationally mobile
  • Strong people management skills 
  • Strong PC skills, especially with excel and powerpoint. Knowledge and experience of BI Cognos is a pre
  • Good command of the English is required, knowledge of German is preferred

Personal skills

  • There is a critical need for a strong people manager who can drive best practices within the team and across the different business units and roles within the team
  • An outgoing personality with good communication and structuring skills and proven ability to manage and to format a team with diverse personalities in a complex business environment
  • Significant experience in driving programs through a matrix organization. Candidate needs to have strong business acumen, be proactive and able to self-start
