Position

Head of the engineering team responsible for the upper level of the software stack, including UI and application frameworks and all web-technologies. Responsibility includes all line, budget, delivery, and technology aspects.

The candidate should provide leadership and direction to a world-class software development team (approx. 60 FTE). The senior leadership candidate establishes a professional managerial, commercial and technical relationship with several internal stakeholders. In addition, the Director Software Engineering will be a member of the Client Technology leadership team reporting directly to VP, Client Technology. As a member of this team, you will be an active contributor to R&D strategy and the tactical operation of the group.

Your Profile

• 4-year Technical Bachelor/ Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology industry experience;
• 5+ years experience managing large software development teams in dynamic environments with short time-to-market introductions and cost efficiencies driven by architecture and new developed processes;
• Knowledge and experience of application, User Interface (UI), and web technologies is desirable;
• Excellent communication, influencing, and analytical skills, with a resilient and adaptable approach;
• Commercial savvy and has strong business acumen, combined with a passion for Technology;
• The ability to empower and create support among employees/co-workers;
• Experience in process improvement methodologies;
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and technical project management experience is highly desired;
• Is a self-starter with understanding of various cultures;
• Hands-on and pragmatic;
• Is fluent in English.

Conditions

Salary € 120.000 - € 150.000
Bonus 20-30%
