Unique entrepreneurial position in the truck and trailer business

Our client is one of Europe’s leading players in the truck and trailer business. The company is quality driven, with a clear focus on research, manufacturing and extensive testing. Currently they enjoy market leader position in certain segments and have the ambition to extend this to all areas they are active in. As part of a further internationalisation the company is looking for a Commercial Manager Benelux. The main task will be to grow all commercial activities in the Benelux from scratch.
Location: open to all locations in the Netherlands

The responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities within the market 
  • Execute the market entry strategy, primarily through acquisition of large scale orders 
  • Develop and maintain durable customer relationships by initiating and retaining trust
  • Actively participate in trade fairs
  • Establish close ties with the headquarters in order to create cross boarder opportunities
  • Offer qualitative client advice and management
  • Successfully manage all price and contract negotiations
  • If successful, the candidate can build and manage a small team of Account Managers

The requirements: 

  • Educated to a Bachelor/Master degree with a registered Economics/Commercial /Technical degree
  • Several years of working experience in a commercial role within the truck and trailer business preferably within the Benelux
  • Outstanding and proven network in the truck business including dealers and the  transportation business in general
  • Deep market knowledge of the industry and the ability to define, develop and execute the best market entry strategy
  • Proven track record in business development and client management (a relationship builder)
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills
  • The ideal candidate is results focussed, outgoing and a networker
  • Furthermore: a self starter with a strong work ethic, a sense of loyalty to the company and lots of enthusiasm 
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the Benelux
