The position

As the HR Manager, you will manage a team of 7 EX employees (3 Business Partners, 2 Recruiters, 2 Ops), which support an organization of 180 HC, spread over multiple locations (mainly NL, India and US), by:

  • Developing the EX team to the next level of excellence with an open communication style and strong team spirit
  • As appropriate, act as an HR Business Partner for selected departments
  • Act as a leader and coach to the EX-team with a strong focus on execution against the following priorities: Driving Leadership across the organization, execute on performance management, increasing retention / reducing attrition (attrition currently 25-30 % depending on location), hiring top talents in particular in The Netherlands and India, create a healthy and inspiring work environment via a diverse mix of programmatic initiatives focusing on engagement, wellbeing and health
  • Executing the strategy of To-Increase through expert knowledge of best practices and emerging trends, including talent development, compensation, benefits, recognition, non-compensatory rewards, well-being, training, development, performance acceleration, talent and career planning, etc., proactively anticipating needs and providing solutions. To support respective initiatives within To-Increase we have rolled out over the past months “Bamboo” as our HR Backbone System, “Eletive” as our platform to measure employee engagement and performance, “Open Up” as an online coaching platform and “Udemy” as a global L&D platform
  • Focused execution of the day-to-day Employee Experience activities. Define and refine robust processes, systems and tools to support the current operations in a growing organization
  • Employment Law. You'll ensure that the organization complies with local requirements in all jurisdictions, taking the necessary steps to comply with future requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance and other departments in all compliancy matters.
  • Strengthen Benchmarking and People productivity mindset in the organization.
  • Support M&A projects as appropriate during the Buy and Build Phase of To-Increase.

In this role, you will directly report to the CFO.

Candidate profile

You are an experienced HR person experienced in strategic, tactical and operational HR tasks. You are open-minded, enjoy working in international environments, and creating a positive impact for your team is important to you. You lead and motivate the teams and bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands or other issues.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the field of Employee Experience/Talent Development/People operation in a startup/scale up, preferably in a tech environment;
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Team Leader or similar role
  • Experience within an international multicultural organization
  • Ability to translate business strategy into HR-related goals and actions for the EX-team
  • Ability to drive and make fast decisions and the same time, multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of delivering results fast in multiple projects and to solve problems quickly

You also possess the following skills:

  • Effective organization, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and/or programs
  • Ability to work and lead efficiently with remote team members (3 EX colleagues located in India)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, working at all levels within the company
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities to improve the current landscape of Tools, Systems and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good grammar and spelling skills. Strong English presentation skills
