The organisation

The position

Development of the company's Quality policy and standards.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • New position, reporting into the COO of the organisation
  • Development of the company's Quality policy and standards
  • Certified on QA and SHE through a company wide management system
  • Define and roll out Quality control standards in Operations spanning incoming materials, intermediates, and finished goods
  • Maintain an effective governance process on the customer complaint and supplier complaint management process
  • Setup and maintain the company's wide management system for Quality Assurance, integrate SHE and other compliance relevant standards and have the system
  • Formulate a quality management strategy
  • Setup a quality reporting standard and manage a continuous monitoring and improvement cycle
  • Coordinate and manages regional quality programs, activities and improvements in order to optimise product and process quality while reducing Cost of Poor Quality
  • Ensures and drives compliance of quality activities within the sites in line with operational excellence standards
  • Contribute to setting clear guidelines for managing raw materials quality and the product introduction process on each site
  • Supports on developing standardised quality assurance and control processes and tools
  • Provides (technical) assistance and expertise for quality assurance and -improvement and running Quality (ISO) audits
  • Develops quality programs for external manufacturing and ensures compliance
  • Identifies (strategic) investments for ensuring quality improvements
  • Is familiar and complies with all the applicable policies/procedures regarding personal conduct, HSE&S and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards
  • Collaborate in global/regional teams and proactively contribute when his/her experience or skills are valuable

Candidate profile

  • MSc Chemistry/Engineering, an MBA is a plus
  • >15 years' experience in the chemical batch/process industry
  • Relevant experience in Quality Assurance
  • Relevant experience in Operational Excellence Six Sigma/LSS
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to articulate, conceptualize and influence policy and decision making.
  • Ability to strategize, plan and strong execution skills.
  • Mindset to manage the complexities of change.
  • Ability to work with and lead complex and multiple teams
  • Independent, passionate with a strong customer focus in safety management and the operations
  • Willing to travel 30-50%
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
