The Head of Sales & Marketing is a Management Team position, which is about taking ownership of developing and coaching the sales & marketing team in order to achieve the commercial objectives. You will manage agreements with distributors and win deals with new and existing key accounts. The Head of Sales & Marketing reports to the Managing Director.

You are a natural in creating support and anchor propositions within the organizations operation and processes. You are eager to champion new and existing business revenue for the organisation in line with the company’s strategic planning. You will manage, grow and improve the sales forecast, process and opportunities resulting in continuous growth together with the sales team.
The position will require regular international travel (> 30%).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Define the sales strategy with colleagues in the Management Team; Product Marketing and the Business Managers. Execute the sales strategy of the company with the team.
- Expand, develop and provide leadership to the sales team. Increase the effectiveness of the sales team in competitive markets.
- Manage the company’s further worldwide expansion by building and developing international teams and distributor relations.
- Define new business models with the director product marketing and implement the changing business models like, subscriptions, cloud and pay per use.
- Build relations with the leading industries in our target markets.
- Bring the sales process to the next level with excellent forecasting and predictability of the sales process; Salesforce tools are available for funnel monitoring, analysis and optimization.
- Align the sales strategy with the Marketing & Communication Manager and Online Marketeer, in increasing corporate and product branding by press releases, exposure on social media. Increase lead generation, channel support and specific communication to the target markets.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and is seen as a trusted advisor. He is an inspiring leader and loves to make people grow. He or she is innovative, digital savvy, thinks out-of-the-box, and is result oriented.
Furthermore the Head of Sales & Marketing feels like home in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You will describe yourself as a hands-on strategist with excellent consultative selling skills.

- Proven commercial track record in high tech industry
- International sales experience
- Exemplary leadership skills, proven experience in building and coaching a sales organization with dedicated sales managers and Marketing & Communication Manager
- Skilled in closing deals and contracts at multiple levels
- Great in building and maintaining relationships with key market players, customers and partners
- Good sense for marketing activities communications through press releases, internet, and social media
- Ideally MSc Technical University preferably complemented with a business education or business courses
- Experience in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness to travel extensively
