The position

The Senior Business Controller will act as a vital link between the business and Group Finance and help develop future-proof business controlling processes.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Senior Business Controller reports to the Head of FP&A and Investor Relations. The main mission of the Senior Business Controller is to form the bridge between stakeholders from the business and the Group Finance team and support their decision-making with relevant financial data and analysis.

The business controlling team, will consist of seven Business Controllers and is organized across regions and commercial pillars. The Senior Business Controller will work 80% of the time with the business. It will be their responsibility to report on major developments for one of the regions or commercial pillars. This entails to gather input from local experts to feed back into the Group Finance processes, advise on margin, monitor financial KPI’s and support and challenge business cases and projects with data analysis and financial insights.

They actively contribute to Adyen Group Finance’s OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and works with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the priorities set by the Group Finance team. With a data savvy mindset, and interest to build further on SQL skills, they fulfill the business’ data needs by ensuring that relevant data points are readily available to a broad set of business stakeholders.

Candidate profile*

• Over 6 years of experience in business controlling
• Linking pin between business and finance
• Data savvy (knowledge of SQL)
• Business process design expertise
