We are looking for a R&D IT Business Partner- Global Biologics (m/f) for the headquarter near Düsseldorf.

The position

  • Act as IT business partner and relationship manager (m/f) to the function Global Biologics
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with scientists, internal IT specialists, quality assurance representatives and Global Biologics management
  • Work closely with neighboring business functions e.g. chemical and pharmaceutical development, commercial production as well as with functional borders to oversee implications of changes in other areas for global biologics
  • Lead IT/system-related business process improvements by identifying opportunities and developing initiatives that enable business innovation and efficacy improvement
  • Manage IT project portfolio
  • Drive the definition of the IT project’s scope, business case development and identification of required resources in collaboration with Global Biologics
  • Ensure prioritization and strategic fit with business goals and objectives as well as IT strategy
  • Maintain short and long-term project portfolio and oversee implementation projects
  • Responsible for steering Global Biologics IT projects to deliver valued solutions

Candidate profile

  • PhD in biological sciences, bioinformatics or equivalent degree
  • Long-term work experience in pharmaceutical, bio-technology, or health care industry
  • Long-term work experience in drug discovery and/or drug development environment preferably with a focus on biologics and informatics
  • Domain expertise in cell line development, upstream and downstream processes, clinical manufacturing processes and GMP
  • Domain expertise in information architecture, data integration and knowledge engineering (master/meta data, ontologies)
  • Several years of experience in leading organizations and/or large teams
  • Strong teamwork, self-management and advanced problem-solving abilities
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective and innovation interest
  • Business fluent in English and German, both verbal and written
