The company is famous for being an innovator in its field, usually a first mover, creating the path for its competitors, but always staying ahead of everyone with innovative products and concepts.

For their established office in Berlin, we are looking for an exceptional, high calibre Director UX Design (m/f) leading all design operations in Europe.

The position

• Leading the UX/UI design team, consisting of more than 10 senior and junior designers
• Responsible for team performance and management from all points of view, combining a technical, business and psychology
• Acting as a sparring partner to the management team, taking an active role in strategic company decisions, supporting and updating the leadership vision and mission
• Acting as a thought leader, team manager and career advisor

Candidate profile

• University degree in visual design/UX design/graphic design/informatics with design focus, ideally an MBA
• Strong combination of IT design expertise, the creation of innovative design products, a strong business sense and emotional intelligence/leadership ability
• At least five years of experience in an international leadership position in the field of design
• A minimum of 8 years experience in UX/UI design, ideally also experience in strategic design and design research
• Experience working with global brands like Facebook, Google, Yahoo and / or successful start-ups
