The position

As a Director of Business Projects, you will drive and execute strategic projects across all business activities. These projects will shape the future of Samskip and are defined by the CEO. We expect you to have excellent business acumen and the ability to drive a variety of strategic projects from idea to implementation from day one.

We are looking for a leader that is hands on, broadly experienced with project management within both strategy and operations and who enjoys working on the development and execution of tasks as required in a structured, logical and fact based manner.

As part of the senior management, you will be actively involved in organisational and business change management as well as in shaping the mid to long term strategy of the company including the implementation and execution of it.

You will report to the CEO and be part of the executive management team.

Candidate profile

• A degree in finance or business discipline
• Solid experience in management, strategy work and strategic project management, hereunder acquisitions from conception to implementation
• Strong conceptual and execution skills, focused
• Positive communicator and relationship building skills
• Change catalyst, but not for the sake of change
• Drive and determination, be result-oriented with a hands on approach
• Ability to work independently, with initiative, self-motivation and discipline. Ability to deal with complexity.
• Ability to conclude and decide on a course of action timely and effectively
• Ability to persevere in face of odds and difficulties and creatively devise means to solve unforeseen challenges
• Desire to succeed
• Ability to collaborate with others across the organisation to achieve common goals of the company
• Proven ability to work in a cross cultural environment
• Excellent knowledge and fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Flexibility to travel within Europe as required
