COO (Capital Equipment)

The Company

Triogen, privately owned, is a world leading manufacturer of energy efficiency/heat recovery technology for power generation.  The company has developed a disruptive Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology that substantially increases power output and reduces fuel consumption of stationary engines; a further application is the efficient power generation from biomass (www.triogen.nl).  The addressable market is global, very significant, and in development stage.  To underpin global growth Triogen wishes to hire a COO reporting to the CEO. The incumbent will initially have a team of twelve, though this is anticipated to grow to support increasing revenues

The Role

• Have overall accountability for the supply chain and manufacturing to drive timely order fulfillment ensuring the interface between operational planning and sales pipeline is effective.
• Lead engineering to strengthen quality, drive innovation and rapidly reduce cost of goods .
• Develop the service organization to ensure high customer satisfaction, fleet performance as well as achieving the economic potential of this business.
• Instill lean manufacturing principles linked with effective ERP systems to ensure timely and cost effective production within robust working capital requirements.
• Drive total quality control both internally and within the supply base. Provide effective management and servicing of the installed base.
• Prepare licensing and outsourcing of the company’s technology to business partners.
• Contribute as a member of the executive management team to company strategy and business planning.

The Person

• A graduate engineer (mechanical/electrical) with significant exposure to manufacturing, supply chain management and ideally service gained within  precision engineering and manufacturing business(s).
• Will have led transformational change programmes for the supply chain including a make vs buy strategy; led on strategic procurement.
• Commercial astute with the credibility to develop relationships with industrial partner’s at the most senior level.
• Will have benefited from training and development within a global engineering company yet with passion for more entrepreneurial business cultures. International exposure is a strong asset.
• Will have led a team of at least 10 people and understands how to build a high performance culture. Fluency in English is essential.

We offer

The COO will work out of Triogen’s head office in Goor (Overijssel) and some international travel is expected. We offer competitive working conditions plus equity.
