Our client is a DAX30 company. In order to secure further growth of the business we are currently looking for a Collection Manager (m/f) based in greater Cologne area.

Position

  • Drive the strategic direction together with the management team ensuring the stabilization of the new Collection process & the support processes
  • Enforce the company's OtC policy and ensure adherence to the Groups' Global Collection Treatment plan
  • Achieve KPI targets (e.g. DSO, Aging, Unapplied payments, etc.) and prepare analysis for regular management & business partner reviews
  • Develop and implement adequate business controls to ensure reaching the set targets
  • Improve efficiency of self-billing reconciliation processes to facilitate collection activities with such customers
  • Develop business acumen of the teams by sharing own experience and create an environment to motivate the team to optimize their performance and professional growth
  • Internally coach and mentor team members in the completion of assignments and identify, escalate and resolve key barriers/problems
  • Build a sound relationship with internal and external key stakeholders, i.e. management, business partners and customers.

Profil

  • Bachelor''s / Master''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field
  • Extensive experience of relevant collection experience in a DAX 30 company or comparable
  • Profen track record of relevant management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Order to Cash processes and KPIs is a must
  • Experience in dealing with multiple levels of the organization (team members through senior management)
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and financial statements
  • Profound knowledge of SAP FI and FSCM and Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, including ability to negotiate and align expectations with management and business customers
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations
  • Reliable, keeps commitments
  • Very good teamplayer
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and highly self-driven
  • Hands-on mentality with ability to switch between management and operational activities instantly
  • Works well under pressure
  • Excellent German and English skills (oral and written)
