Our client has created the largest and strongest consortium in the field of raw materials. Our client cooperates with more than 100 partners, such as industry leaders, research centers and universities from over 20 EU member states.
The aim of this consortium is to increase the competitiveness, growth and attractiveness of the European raw material sector. This process is underpinned by intensive innovation and entrepreneurship. The start-up phase of this rather new company has been initiated and interim management teams have started their work in January 2015.
Michael Page is assigned to set up the complete senior management of this incubator, starting with the Chief Financial Officer (m/f) located in Berlin.

Position

• Responsible for the entire finance function of this legal entity and for ethical financial governance, management and economic sustainability of the company
• Develop and monitor the financial plans
• Set up and controls that the budget is in line with the EIT (European Institute of Innovation & Technology) requirements
• Is in charge of coordinating all administrative and legal issues for the company at European level
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with divisional management to ensure prompt awareness of business issues and opportunities
• Analyze and interpret financial results
• Explain variances between budget, forecast and actual and proposing corrective measures to local management

Profil

• At least 5 years of experience in a multinational environment, with P&L responsibility
• Higher education, e.g. MBA
• Responsible for the entire finance function of this legal entity
• Knowledge of information systems
• Superior managerial and communication skills
• Interact frequently with senior management at corporate headquarters
• Excellent knowledge of English is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence, convince, motivate and mentor various groups or individuals
• Positive, encouraging style, personality and approach
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Self-motivated with very good organizational and time management skills
