Airopack is one of the world’s largest producers of planet friendly Primary Plastic Packaging. They are a company that’s planet friendly, all plastic aerosol units are powered purely by air. There are no gas propellants or chemicals, just an ingeniously designed pressure control device, your product and pure clean air.
As the Plant Director you’re responsible for all Operations activities and financial performance of the Waalwijk facility. The role will set up and implement the year plan and budgets for the plant and coordinate all the activities. For the upcoming year, the main goals are building and strengthening the local plant team, increase capacity output through continuous improvement projects, improve and prepare the site for further expansion.
Tasks & responsibilities
Your responsibilities are set up and implement the year plan and budget for the entire Waalwijk plant, to ensure the entire site complies with Airopack standards and goals. You are responsible for the supporting and overseeing the overall operational performance for the site. You lead and supports the implementation of continuous improvement programs. You partner and collaborate with the central planning department to ensure plant capabilities are in line with the customer product/quality standards. You lead the local plant MT and you are overall responsible for the plant workforce planning and accountable for successful training and on boarding of new/transferred employees as well as workforce engagement, recognition, development and coaching.
We are looking for a candidate with 15/20+ years of experience managing factories and manufacturing operations in an international environment. You have a deep understanding of production, supply chain, maintenance and quality functions. Ideally you have spent several years managing both production and supply chain functions. You have experience with P&L responsibility, at a business unit or a company level ( budgeting, planning, HR). You have a demonstrated ability to develop plant business plans, measures and objectives based on overall corporate goals and directives. You have strong managerial skills.
Ideally you have worked for both large, mature organizations ( know what “good” looks like) and small, medium businesses going through a period of high growth. You have potential to step up and become the COO of the company in a multi-factory environment. Specific experience of injection molding and blow molding technologies is a plus.
