Our client is a major actor of the oil and gas industry. Theyare active in the integrated downstream business and have extensive knowledge and experience in owning and operating storage terminals. They have several locations in Europe and their Headquarter is located in Amsterdam.

The position

The Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager will be instrumental in improving the quality of the Group's consolidated financial reporting. This position works closely with the local finance team members to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting of financial information.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager will be instrumental in improving the quality of the Group's consolidated financial reporting. This position works closely with the local finance team members to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting of financial information.

This is a period of expansion and growth within the group and the Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager will need to be a motivated self-starter who can operate at senior management level within this entrepreneurial organisation to make sure the finance function is delivering value at all times. The position reports to the group CFO.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of the production of high quality financial accounts and reports for the Group and subsidiary companies.
  • Ensuring the company complies with all IFRS requirements regarding financial reporting.
  • Taking ownership of the Group's consolidation process for both monthly internal management and statutory purposes.
  • Working with the Group Financial Planning Analyst to prepare quality consolidated reports for the senior management team.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the local team members to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting of financial information.
  • Administer, develop and improve the accuracy of FCCS (cloud version of Oracle's HFM) alongside training users on best practise use of the system.
  • Responsible for upload and consolidation of P&L budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Developing and implementing best practice processes and systems across the Group.
  • Prepare Group Consolidated Financial Statements.
  • Technical accounting support to operating businesses.
  • Key point of contact for Group auditors, taking responsibility for the smooth running and timely completion of the audit process.
  • Prepare compliance certificates for banks.
  • Supervision of 2 FTE's.
  • Supporting on a variety of ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate profile

  • Candidates for the Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager role should be qualified accountant a/o have a master degree in business economics.
  • At least 7-10 years of combined experience in a Big Four Accounting Firm as well as in industry working for an international group in a leadership role related to IFRS consolidated reporting and preparation of Group Financial Statements.
  • You can communicate (both written and spoken) perfectly in English at various levels and additional languages preferred.
  • You will have excellent command of Microsoft Excel, strong analytical, report writing and communication skills;
  • You will also enjoy problem solving and working under pressure.
  • You must also be resourceful and will be happy to get involved across the full spectrum of Group finance responsibilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast paced environment at a rapidly growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, BI and EPM tools such as MS Dynamics AX and Oracle HFM.
