The organisation

Our client CPM Europe (120 fte) is a leading provider of process equipment and engineered solutions for the animal feed, bioenergy and oilseed markets. CPM designs, manufactures and sells both systems and individual production units.

The extensive range of machinery is used for grinding and densifying bulk materials in the biomass fuel pellets industry for electricity generation, the production of animal feed pellets, and waste recycling - all global industries that are growing strongly. The company is part of an American concern (1.000 fte) and has a very strong international character of its own.

The position

The expectation is that the current growth will continue to be strong in the coming years. For that reason, they are looking for a Sales Director to take full responsibility of Sales in Europe.

As a Sales Director you will manage a sales team of approximately 15 employees, consisting of business segment managers, area sales managers and sales support staff. In this role you will be required to accomplish sales objectives and to implement a comprehensive marketing plan which will help the company meet their ambitious goals.

You are able to translate the customer need into appropriate comprehensive solutions, taking into account (technical) content, planning, budget and delivery terms. You maintain an up-to-date overview of active quotes, prospects and leads. The commercial organization is managed by market segment sales as the needs for each market are very different. This is also true for our extensive network of agents. You are responsible for the development of new distribution markets as well as for scaling up the sales within an international setting.

In this position, you are part of the MT.

Candidate profile

The candidate has an educational background (bachelor) in mechanical engineering. You are an experienced Sales Director with knowledge of capital equipment. You have at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience within (heavy) machine construction or a related business, combined with knowledge of or experience in bulk material handling industry (machinery for processing grains, particle size reduction, drying, pelleting) in an international environment. You are willing to travel.
