International position for a seasoned consultative software sales manager with a good understanding of the "Logistics Service Providers" or "Metals" market segment. Focus will be on DACH region first.

The position

As Business Unit Director (Sales) and one of the ambassadors of the company you will be globally responsible for generating revenue in the targeted market, with the focus on DACH region. You will be the key business driver in this arena. You will be generating new business at prospects and customers. With your knowledge of, and experience in, the targeted arena you are a business & sparring partner to the customer. You are well known with trends in their market and the complexity of effects it may have on their business. With this expertise you and your team (including partners) help customers to make the right decisions based on ROI and TCO. You will create and manage complex sales cycles. You will qualify and close enterprise deals. After the first successful implementation other country branches of these multinationals around the world will follow.

In this position you build your own international sales team and become a Business Unit Director. According the principle of Management by Example you will coach them and lead them to further success. You will report to the VP of the designated market segment or domain.

Candidate profile

  • You are a proven and profound international sales and business unit director. To be successful in this position you will meet the following criteria:
  • Master degree is a must!; 
  • In depth knowledge of one of the following domains: Logistic Service Providers, Metals or Workforce Optimization; 
  • Extensive and actual network (especially in DACH region) in the international logistic service providers arena (f.e. airport, harbour, metro, express) AND/OR
  • in the Metals arena (f.e. producers of metal, aluminium or copper);
  • Proven track record (at least 7 years) in managing complex international sales cycles; 
  • Proven track record ( at least 7 years) in selling large scale business solutions to multinationals; 
  • Excellent presentation, lead qualification and client relationship skills; 
  • A natural born communicator with excellent negotiation skills; 
  • An entrepreneurial, result focused and pro-active attitude; 
  • A charismatic and inspiring manager able to get and keep the team performing at their best; 
  • Native German(!), fluent verbal and written expression in the English language is mandatory.

Salary indication

€ 180.000 - 220.000 OTE.
