Where do you want to be?
We are a global Consumer Electronics Company  looking for the best and brightest minds in Sales to join our Consumer Business Unit. You will be part of a Best-in-class Focus team together with the Product Marketing Manager of a category in Amsterdam and the local Sports sales teams, in order to bring the strongest proposition to the market.

The position

The experience and future opportunities will include: 

  • Develop and execute on best in class Go-To-Market strategies for the local sales teams;
  • Be responsible and support target achievement’s together with the local sales teams;
  • Further develop the Sports channel in the region for our existing and new product range;
  • Negotiate contracts with new channels with the emphasis on a strong long-term relationship;
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the Sports market, relevant for our product portfolio, in order to further develop the rollout to the different channel;
  • Establish strong rolling Account plans covering product portfolio, marketing & promotional    activity, revenue and volume as well as plans to develop strong strategic & robust partnerships.

As a member of the global team, you are asked to deliver the following:

  1. Support the countries with the rollout of new channels and new products;
  2. Continuously review competition and define our positioning together with product marketing;
  3. Monitor closely all relevant channel data in order to fine-tune the business model;
  4. Apply all sales policies and standards; 
  5. Provide accurate forecasts and support local sales teams with their forecast process;
  6. Establish rationale in the minds of buyers, account head office staff and shop floor staff for each product/solution;
  7. Ensure all the key consumer benefits are communicated effectively in media, brochures, point of sale and to shop floor staff as well as ensuring effective merchandising and display of products;
  8. Work as a team with Sales, Finance, Marketing and the Sales Operations & Support organizations.

Candidate profile

What do we expect from you?
To be successful, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

  • Business or relevant technical degree;
  • Dynamic, highly motivated and tenacious individual with a strong and solid sales background;
  • Experience of new business development and establishing channels of distribution
  • 10+ years’ experience of international level, online, retail and channel sales of consumer electronics/Sports related companies, experience with a proven success in selling devices into the retail sector and online business;
  • Experience in international structures and development is a must;
  • Perfect understanding of channel development, with a proven track record;
  • Strong oral & written communication and influencing skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels and parts of the channel partner organization and within the own organization; 
  • Capability to build and maintain long-term business relationships with (r)etail and channel partners;
  • Business acumen in order to drive the contribution to business from retail/channel sales as well as strong financial & planning skills 
  • Hands-on and team playing attitude to achieve targets together with all company resources; 
  • Strong numeric and planning skills plus ability to develop, implement and manage complete account business and promotional plans;
  • Extremely result oriented, a high level of independence is expected;
  • Long-term perspective on developing the channel and market;
  • Fluent in English;
  • A positive and open personality and a winner’s mentality.
