Director EMEA Regional Controller and Finance Shared Services

We are currently looking for a Director EMEA Regional Controller. The main mission of the Director will be to lead the operations of our internal finance shared services for EMEA. These services include the finance transaction processing, general accounting, credit and collection, analytical, reporting and data management. Additionally, he/she will lead the region's controllership activities including monthly closing, balance sheet integrity, internal controls and risk management. Finally, the Director will be the senior finance leader in the region for the SAP deployment program.

The principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead the finance shared services operations and strategy with centres in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and Poland.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting processes for the EMEA region.
• Provide finance leadership and oversight for the deployment of SAP in the EMEA region
• Maintain and monitor key finance operations process performance metrics. Lead and coordinate business process improvement projects.
• Partner with regional finance controllers to ensure overall balance sheet integrity, compliance with internal control policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g. US GAAP and local statutory requirements).
• Manage the relationship with internal and external auditors. Lead the quarterly, annual and other periodic audits, supporting timely resolution of identified issues and risks.
• Measure performances against established SLA's and communicate with customers on the results. Respond to service delivery questions and issues. Create the strategies and services to meet internal customer needs.

Your background and skills:

• CPA or equivalent
• A solid track record in a senior financial position managing large teams within an international (preferably U.S. based) multi site environment,.
• Prior management experience of a shared services organization is desired
• Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge is needed
• International experience is desirable, ability to work in a matrixed environment
• Past experience implementing an ERP system is desirable
• Process and continuous improvement oriented
• Able to work and team effectively within a diverse organization
• Extremely strong customer and partner focus
• Excellent command of English language (written & spoken).
