The position

The Dow Chemical Company has an opportunity for a Business Supply Chain Manager to be located in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. 

Tasks & responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this job are to lead supply chain for one or more parts of the business in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA), to drive a customer-centric culture and to define and execute plans that drive key elements of the business strategy. The Supply Chain function has the responsibility involved in the moving, handling and storing of chemicals and products in a safe and secure manner that complies with regulatory requirements and in an efficient way. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage Supply andDemand Balances
• EMEA Sales/Production Capacity Planning
• Lead S&OP processes within the relevant geographic scopes and actively participate in the global S&OP process
• Provide leadership to the production planners
• Lead resolution of large unplanned events
• Represent supply chain on business projects
• Drive global and cross-functional initiatives
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Site Logistics/Logistics, Customer Service and Sales. 
• Identify and drive supply chain improvements

Candidate profile

• Master Degree (Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, other Sciences).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain The critical competencies required for success are Interpersonal Effectiveness, Initiative, Value Creation, and Supply Chain Management.
• Min. 2 years of experience in leading a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and team working skills
• Independent and pro-active issue resolution
• Customer focus and improvement mind-set
